Digital Technologies for Vocational Education and Training

Digi4VET is an Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership project (2018-1-DE02-KA202-005157) led by SBG Dresden and running between September 2018 and August 2020.

The project is designed to aid the introduction of new technology in vocational education and training.  It focuses on three aspects of technology for use in teaching and training – augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and 3-D printing (3DP), but the principles involved are also expected to apply to other emerging technologies.  The main project outputs will be a manual, a set of training modules for VET teachers and trainers, and example learning scenarios using the three technologies.

The project involves partners from three areas – the chemical industry (DE), painting (BE), and floristry (NL) – and focuses on occupations at around EQF level 4, as well as supporting teachers and trainers in VET centres and in the workplace.
